The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department across the UK and the US, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and maintaining precise financial records.

What you’ll work on

Every day is different, but here’s an example of the kind of things you’ll work on:

Invoicing and Receivables:

  • Raise client invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure timely receipt of payments
  • Match payments to customer invoices
  • Liaise with and update internal teams regarding Aged Debtors
  • Carry out all day-to-day tasks related to accounts receivable

Payables and Expenses:

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure correct coding
  • Produce bi-weekly supplier pay run
  • Handle the processing and payment of employee expenses
  • Match supplier payments to corresponding invoices
  • Deal with internal and external supplier queries promptly and efficiently

Reconciliation and Month-End Duties:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Assist with month-end tasks where requested
  • Ensure correct inputting of VAT

Financial Records and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation and maintain the filing system
  • Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and on time
  • Develop and improve current processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Complete journal entries as required/requested

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Liaise with other areas of the business and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure smooth financial operations

Ad-Hoc Duties:

  • Perform other finance-related tasks as required to support the Finance team
