The world's largest asset class, debt, operates with the worst data.

Technology has revolutionized equity markets with electronic trading, quant algos and instantaneous news. However, in debt capital markets, the picture is completely different. It still behaves like it’s in the 1980s; trillions of dollars of trades are placed over the phone, news is slow, and corporate credit information is imperfect and scattered.

Our mission is to change this.

9fin's proprietary technology delivers fast and comprehensive financial, credit, legal & ESG analysis. Our clients are able to make faster, more informed decisions, win more business and most importantly, save time.

Our fast growing list of clients include 9 of the top 10 Investment Banks, leading Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and Law Firms.

What you’ll work on

Every day is different, but here’s an example of the kind of things you’ll work on:

  • Conducting market and user research to understand customer needs, the competitive landscape and industry trends related to leveraged finance & data engineering.
  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end product life cycle from customer research, product requirements, prioritisation, execution together with your cross functional team, all the way to product launches and feature evangelism.
  • Build a strong understanding of our data lifecycles, including who produces and consumes what data, the pipelines the data flows through, putting in place data quality measures.
  • Partner with our data team to break down the big data initiatives and help build the data roadmap. You will work together to identify new opportunities to build data product solutions that have high business impact and be prioritising those in the product backlog according to the strategy, ensuring alignment with 9fin’s company goals
  • Work closely with our data science and data engineering teams to evolve a vision and strategy for a suite of our data products, ensuring transparency and alignment with internal teams that rely on our data engineering & ETL infrastructure.
