The Role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our AI powered loyalty platform. You'll balance hand-on manual testing and test automation based on product needs, while helping shape our QA, improve testing workflows, and build AI -assisted testing capabilities.

Your main responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and granular test cases to ensure full coverage of functional, technical, and business requirements.
  • Analyze requirements and specifications to identify potential logic gaps, risks, and edge cases before development begins.
  • Perform manual testing and automated testing flexibly based on project needs, including new feature validation, bug fixes, and regression cycles.
  • Write, run, and maintain automated tests for new developments in our internal test automation framework.
  • Design and support testing strategies for AI-powered features, including prompt evaluation, output validation, regression detection, and reliability checks.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted testing tools and workflows to improve test coverage, efficiency, and the overall QA process.
  • Take senior ownership of quality by driving QA improvements, sharing best practices, and supporting the growth of the QA team.
  • Synchronize with development sprints to remain aligned with technical progress and shifting priorities.
  • Act as a key collaborator between Product Owners and Developers to clarify acceptance criteria and expedite the resolution of blockers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with proven senior-level ownership of QA processes and quality improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with both manual testing and test automation, with the flexibility to apply the right approach based on product and project needs.
  • Experience with test automation tools and programming, preferably using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
  • Experience testing AI/ML-based features or products, or a strong motivation to build deep expertise in this area.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to support QA activities, such as test case generation, exploratory testing, test data creation, or automation assistance.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.
  • Experience with API testing and related tools such as Postman.
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking and project management.
  • Proficiency with Confluence for documentation.
  • Experience writing SQL and NoSQL queries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to reason about complex systems and edge cases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional product engineering environment.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • A forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologies and improving existing workflows.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
    Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated expertise in testing Generative AI or Large Language Model-based products, including chatbots, RAG systems, and autonomous agents.
  • Proficient in designing test methodologies for non-deterministic outputs, including semantic similarity assessments, regression detection in LLM responses, hallucination identification, and prompt-injection vulnerability evaluations.
  • Experience building or contributing to AI-assisted QA workflows, such as automated test generation, intelligent test selection, self-healing tests, or AI-supported exploratory testing.
  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks or observability tools such as LangSmith, Ragas, DeepEval, or similar.
  • Experience with performance, load, or reliability testing for AI inference endpoints or data-heavy services.
  • Professional background within fintech, loyalty, ecommerce, or other regulated enterprise sectors.
