The purpose of the Group Risk Manager role is to be the primary contributor in creating, augmenting, maintaining and consistently executing Curve Europe UAB’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and the components that make it up. This includes, but is not limited to, drafting the documented ERMF and associated documents in line with the Bank of Lithuania’s expectations.

This is a Group role meaning that although it is predominantly focussed on building and maintaining the ERMF for Curve Europe UAB it is expected that there is harmonisation of ERMF across the global Group and for this role to support global risk management at Curve where there are opportunities to leverage the frameworks they create and opportunities to avoid duplication across Group.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create a documented Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) for Curve Europe UAB.
  • Align Curve Europe UAB’s ERMF with the UK Group’s ERMF (as permitted under the local regulatory expectations).
  • Align Curve Europe UAB’s risk reporting to the UK Group’s.
  • Procure relevant information from stakeholders to draft risk appetite statements across our different business operations.
  • Complete an enterprise wide risk assessment, document the same in an up to date Risk Register.
  • Maintain the Risk Register on a monthly basis.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to obtain relevant information in order to maintain the Risk Register up to date.
  • Be proactive in liaising with the business and gaining insights of relevant events such as product incidents, Curve initiatives etc. in order to proactively analyse and provide input on impact on our risk profile.
  • Take ownership of the DORA project including the heavy lifting and drafting of the relevant documentation that should form the DORA risk management framework.
  • Regarding DORA, work with and guide the relevant business stakeholders in order to materialise our documented DORA framework (once completed) into business operations.
  • Draft and maintain the following documents that the Bank of Lithuania expects to form part of our ERMF - Risk Management Process Manual, Annual Risk Report, Risk Communication Plan, Risk Management Procedures.

Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years' enterprise risk experience in financial services - ideally in a payments and/or FinTech environment.
  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate recent experience of doing ‘heavy lifting’ work in relation to creating and/or augmenting documented risk management arrangements and supporting in their implementation.
  • The candidate must have a good grasp of the Bank of Lithuania’s regulatory requirements pertaining to enterprise risk management in a payment firm like Curve (including DORA).
  • The candidate must have the experience and skill of translating regulatory requirements pertaining to enterprise risk management into the practical creation of documented policies, frameworks and procedures that align to the risk profile of the specific financial institution.
  • The candidate must have strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • The candidate must have good stakeholder liaison skills to procure relevant information from different stakeholders and reflect them in the creation of bespoke risk management related documents and assist the relevant stakeholders implement the documented risk management arrangements into business practice.
  • The candidate must have recent experience of being a doer (i.e., rolling up their sleeves and building enterprise risk management documents and driving their implementation in practice).
