About the Role
Divido is looking for a high-energy, dynamic new business developer to play a pivotal role in executing our exciting global merchant strategy. Working hand-in-hand with the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for operating across the full sales-cycle identifying, qualifying, contacting, pitching and winning new business with mid-market and global enterprise retailers. Critical to the success of the role is the ability to work effectively with marketing, product, operations, and engineering, in order to deliver against ambitious revenue targets. As you succeed, you'll play a lead role in driving and determining long-term client success with support from functional leaders and central teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close opportunities for Divido, with responsibility for the full sales cycle, managing prospects from discovery to close
  • Develop high levels of trust and understanding with prospective customers, and use consultative selling techniques to deeply understand their needs and find creative ways to apply the Divido model to meet them
  • Build and demonstrate a detailed market knowledge, operating as a thought-leader and trusted advisor internally and externally
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews to provide forecasting visibility and identify areas for improvement
  • Work closely with Marketing and the SDR teams to build effective go to market campaigns and sales resources
  • Create and maintain a CRM (Salesforce) database for accurate pipeline reporting
  • Set the standards and culture for the Divido sales team

Requirements

  • Proven success using a consultative selling approach to sell complex software as a service (SaaS) or technology solutions to enterprise merchants/retailers
  • A detailed and rigorous approach to sales processes
  • Proven ability to communicate effective with C-Level executives
  • A team player - will always put the team/company ahead of your own needs
  • A startup mindset; highly resilient, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of payments, lending or large merchants/retail sector
  • A keen interest in the UK FinTech space
  • Passion, drive, and desire to be part of building a company and its culture
