The opportunity:

You will be joining as the first Finance Manager in the team. You bring at least 3 years of experience to join our team in our London office. You will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, including payroll reviews, month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. In this role, you will report directly to the Founder and CEO.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will own all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and closing in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our commercial team to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual financial audit process.
  • Stay on top of changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and documents for our investors.
  • Support in negotiations of new contracts and commercial agreements.

Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles with at least one year in a technology business.
  • Excellent Excel or G-Suite skills and experience in accounting tools would be highly advantageous.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English and French, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
  • Good understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and drive continuous improvement.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in cross-country accounting within the EU.
  • ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
