This role

As a Security Engineer at Dust, you're the guardian of our infrastructure. You'll tackle the challenges of building secure, robust systems head-on, ensuring the safety of our data and the trust of our users. Your work is critical to our mission, enabling us to deliver innovative products with confidence.

Responsibilities

Secure our systems: Implement and manage security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
Threat assessment: Identify vulnerabilities within our network and propose and implement countermeasures.
Incident response: Be on the front lines of security incident management, from identification through resolution and post-mortem.
Compliance and auditing: Ensure we meet compliance requirements for data protection and privacy.
Help define and build our Product: proactively participate to product definition and construction.
Architect the future of Dust on-cloud solutions: using infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform) to provision and manage cloud resources securely.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role.
Knowledge of current trends in cybersecurity and an understanding of how they affect product development.
Strong coding skills.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of striking powerful trade-offs between safety and velocity.
Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain complex security issues in simple terms.

Nice to have

Experience with at least one of JavaScript/TypeScript/React or Rust
Experience with Large Language Models
Interest in emerging security questions related to the use of Large Language Models as well as current jail-braking techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role typically ranges from €60,000 to €150,000.
