Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all day-to-day HR queries, providing practical, pragmatic, and people-first guidance to managers and employees across the business.
  • Own and continuously improve core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, absence management, and contract administration, ensuring they are scalable, consistent, and fit for a growing organisation.
  • Manage employee relations matters confidently and empathetically, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance improvement plans, always ensuring legal compliance and fairness.
  • Maintain accurate HR data and people records, producing regular MI and reporting to the CoS to inform business decisions.
  • Support the development and rollout of HR policies, ensuring they reflect current UK employment legislation and best practice.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture, contributing to engagement initiatives, wellbeing programmes, and team events.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of changes, and act as a key point of contact for benefits administration.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate HR processes, helping the team work smarter as we scale.

About You

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum.
  • At least 5 years' generalist HR experience, ideally within a fast-growth environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • A process-driven mindset, you love building structure and making things run smoothly, but you're flexible enough to adapt when priorities shift.
  • Genuinely people-oriented, you build trust quickly, listen well, and know how to balance commercial thinking with genuine care for colleagues.
  • Comfortable rolling your sleeves up and supporting the wider People & Talent team with whatever is needed, no matter how big or small.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a varied workload independently.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and a keen interest in using data to improve people practices.
