About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician II to join our Data Center Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our critical infrastructure that powers AI workloads for leading technology companies. You will perform advanced technical tasks including hardware replacements, network equipment swaps, and complex cabling projects while ensuring maximum uptime and reliability of our GPU supercomputers.
Focus
Execute complex hardware replacements including server components, networking devices, and power distribution units
Perform structured cabling installations and modifications for both copper and fiber optic connections
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure issues to minimize downtime
Maintain detailed documentation of all data center assets, configurations, and changes
Collaborate with remote engineering teams to implement infrastructure improvements and upgrades
About You
2-year or 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR 3+ years of equivalent experience in data center operations
1+ years of hands-on experience with structured cabling for both copper and fiber optic installations, including cable testing and certification
Strong understanding of data center cooling systems, electrical distribution, and environmental monitoring
Proven ability to safely handle and install networking equipment, servers, and related hardware components
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
Nice to haves
Experience with GPU servers and high-performance computing environments
Knowledge of network protocols and experience with enterprise networking equipment
Familiarity with DCIM tools and asset management systems
Experience working in 24/7 critical environments with on-call responsibilities
Basic scripting or automation skills for routine task optimization
