About the Role
We're looking for an Entitlements Manager to join our power procurement team and lead the entitlement process for our data center developments in the US. In this role, you'll be navigating complex land use regulations, working with landowners, developers, local authorities, and legal counsel to secure approvals for our hyperscale data center projects.
You'll collaborate closely with local counsel and county officials during site due diligence, permitting and construction phases. This position requires someone who can effectively engage with local jurisdictions, participate in public meetings and hearings, and build strong relationships with county officials to get projects over the finish line.
This is a critical role supporting our expansion plans, where you'll shape our entitlements strategy while working on some of the largest and most complex data center projects in the world.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the real estate entitlement process for new data center developments in collaboration with landowners, developers, local authorities, and legal counsel
Engage with local jurisdictions and participate in public meetings or hearings related to project approvals, zoning and permitting
Conduct site due diligence and negotiate entitlement agreements for large-scale data center projects
Identify and manage relationships with local external counsel across various states
Requirements
Extensive experience in real estate entitlements and land use law for large-scale developments, with proven track record managing site due diligence and land development through final approvals
Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, working with landowners, developers, local authorities, and jurisdictions on zoning and permitting
Experience participating in public meetings and hearings, with demonstrated ability to identify and manage relationships with local external counsel
Excellent project coordination and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders across legal, construction, government, and community teams
Location: Austin, TX preferred, open to remote; 25% travel required
