About The Role

As an IT Engineer, DC and FluidStack's on-site IT support backbone, you'll own the full device lifecycle — from provisioning macOS, Windows, and iOS devices before new hires walk in the door to ensuring secure, compliant retirement and disposal on the way out. You'll be the go-to problem solver for hardware, software, and networking issues across a fast-moving AI infrastructure environment, partnering closely with remote IT and Security teams to keep everything documented, escalated, and resolved. Beyond break/fix, you'll play a meaningful role in our security compliance posture — supporting SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements, contributing to audit evidence, and helping enforce the IT procedures that keep our data centers and end-user environments secure.

Focus

  • Serve as the primary on-site support contact for hardware and software break/fix, diagnosing and resolving issues across laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and networking equipment — escalating to remote IT/Security teams with thorough documentation as needed.
  • Prepare, configure, and deploy end-user devices (macOS, Windows, iOS/iPadOS) for new hires and contractors, ensuring MDM enrollment and identity provider account provisioning are complete before day one.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate hardware asset inventory — tracking serial numbers, assigned users, locations, and lifecycle status from procurement through secure retirement and disposal (ITAM/ITAD).
  • Collect, wipe, and process equipment returns for offboarding employees and contractors in accordance with data destruction and chain-of-custody requirements.
  • Support security compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent) by following and enforcing documented IT procedures, contributing to audit evidence collection, and flagging policy gaps to the Security team.
  • Coordinate with IT, HR, and Security to ensure on-site systems, access controls, and physical device security align with organizational policies and datacenter security standards.
  • Maintain clear documentation of all support activities, asset records, and procedural runbooks in the IT knowledge base.

About You

  • 10+ years designing and implementing hyperscale /mission-critical security systems and operations
  • Proficiency supporting macOS and iOS endpoints
  • Experience with MDM platforms (Kandji, Jamf, Intune, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Okta.
  • Working knowledge of hardware asset tracking and ITAD best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow security-conscious procedures

About You (preferred)

  • Experience in a datacenter, physical security-sensitive, or compliance-regulated environment
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST 800-53 frameworks
  • Familiarity with ticketing and ITSM tools (Jira Service Management or similar)
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
