Your journey to limitless possibilities begins with Grover!
Our Mission & Vision
To date, Grover has circulated over 1.2 million devices, employs over 400 people, and stands as one of the fastest-growing scale-ups in Europe. We hit Unicorn status in 2022, and are scaling internationally!
We're proud to champion a more sustainable way to use tech. With an average of 3-4 rental cycles per device depending on the category, we estimate that the rental of our portfolio from 2015-2021 resulted in 160,000 fewer e-waste products and about 250 tons of e-waste.
To continue this incredible adventure, we are currently looking for a motivated German-speaking Team Lead Service Provider Management full-time for our Supply Chain team at our Berlin HQ, with occasional travel required within the EU.
As part of the management of Grover’s Circular Supply Chain organization you and your team are responsible for ensuring we have the right service providers as partners in our network and that they are performing in line with the expectations without costing too much. This includes both logistic service providers (warehousing, transportation) but also Grover’s repair and recommerce partners.
🎯 What you will contribute:
- Be responsible for ensuring the right service providers are in place to execute the supply chain processes Grover decides to outsource in line with a total cost of ownership approach
- Ensure that proper contracts and supporting documents like SLAs and price matrices are in place with all external service providers in line with the 4-eye principle and regulatory requirements
- Track the performance of the service providers against agreements made and ensure issues with the performance are detected and resolved promptly
- Be responsible for validating invoices received from the service providers match the actual work done and if needed get disputed successfully in a timely manner
- Drive continuous improvement efforts pertaining to work done with service providers
- Provide leadership and guidance to the different members of your team, both on-site and remote
- Work closely with internal teams both within the Circular supply chain as well as wider Grover to ensure alignment across teams on how to work with 3rd party service providers
🤝 What you bring:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Legal, or another relevant field, or an additional 4 years of relevant operational experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in contracting and onboarding logistic service providers (warehousing and transportation) as well as experience in managing repair service contracts. Additionally, at least 2 years of experience leading and managing direct reports within a team
- Excellent understanding of the logistics service provider landscape in the EU - knows who can do what and at what costs (warehousing, transport)
- Solid understanding of the repair and recommerce of consumer electronics
- Strong negotiation skills: you know how to execute a tender and what a good contract looks like
- Good understanding of the relevant regulatory framework governing circular supply chain activities within the EU and Germany specifically
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team of both on-site and remote employees while creating a pleasant work environment
- Able to inform, collaborate, and influence across various functions to reach overarching business goals, both internally as well as with external service providers
- Willingness and ability to travel within the EU on occasion to meet with partners (max 20%)
- Ability to show a certificate of good conduct issued by the German authorities. When having lived abroad for a significant period (an additional certificate from that jurisdiction may be required as well)
- Fluency in English (C1+) and a very solid business proficiency in German is required (B2+). Proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, or Polish is a plus
