About the Role
As Director of Product Design, you'll be a key leader shaping the innovation, growth, and user experience across Fabric's products. This pivotal role offers the chance to champion a user-centered design culture and lead a talented team in creating intuitive, effective solutions for our customers. You'll be instrumental in realizing Fabric’s full vision of a singular, integrated hybrid care journey, ensuring a cohesive and impactful user experience across all offerings. You'll blend strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, working closely with cross-functional product, engineering, clinical, and Go-to-Market teams. This includes building vital relationships with our customers, reaching up to hospital C-suite executives. This is an exciting opportunity to get on the ground floor of a fast-paced startup, define what it means to enable the health systems of the future to do their best work, and significantly improve patient and provider lives through impactful design and a deep understanding of human healthcare processes. We thrive on vigorous conversation and deep research, alongside a clear focus on getting things done.

- Working closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, define product requirements, and translate them into effective design solutions and implementation plans.
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of Fabric’s products and functioning as a subject matter expert on product design, user experience, and relevant market trends to drive customer solution development.
- Ensuring solutions are scalable, efficient, and deliver maximum value to customers, with a clear emphasis on standard capabilities and intuitive design.
- Driving user research and ensuring solutions have been tested prior to build, making this an integral part of the design process.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency, scalability, and quality of design processes and deliverables, with a focus on streamlining workflows and enhancing design impact.
- Partnering with marketing to develop compelling materials and messaging that accurately reflect our product’s design philosophy and value proposition.
- Driving the design vision and contributing to the design system, collaborating with engineering to ensure scalable implementation and continuous refinement.
