The challenge

We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our Contract Repository team.
The team’s mission is to enable customers to organise all of their contracts in one secure place, be augmented with insights and query their contract data instantly. As part of this team, you will focus on creating a seamless experience for new Juro customers and counterparties.
Day to day, you will face non-trivial tasks and problems that require creativity and critical thinking to solve. Some of the upcoming tasks and projects that you will be involved in:
Building from scratch and improving existing features in the dashboard - the application's main user interface - to enhance user engagement and usability.
Designing and developing new, innovative features for document organisation.
Solving problems in collaboration with other engineering teams and designers to create the best user experience.
Improving the existing code base of the whole product using TypeScript.
Creating React components for new features.
Enhancing our backend services and APIs using Node.js to support frontend features.

Why join us

If you’re someone who wants to work for a vibrant, successful tech company but worry that most companies with “unicorn” ambitions are…
chaotic (= immature operation and prone to over-hiring)
fragile (= high cash burn and no profitability)
volatile (= vulnerable to market swings and layoffs)
…and therefore often not conducive to building a sustainable career foundation, you should consider Juro. Here’s why (click the ▶️ to reveal more information):
You decide what is best.
Make an impact.
No legacy technologies.
Time to fix.
Code review in place
Sustainable growth.

Who we look for

Research shows that men apply to jobs if they meet ~60% of criteria, but women and those in traditionally underrepresented groups tend to apply only if they check all boxes. If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single point above, please still get in touch. We'd love to chat and see if you could be a great fit.
We look for people whose approach to work aligns with our Values & behaviours. For this role, we particularly value:
Mentoring: You use your technical expertise to teach others patiently, who come to you for your knowledge.
Caring: You take responsibility for what you build because you care, and you proactively seek/give feedback to suggest improvements
Autonomy: You learn fast and don't require a lot of supervision to work well. When you ask questions, it's to re-confirm what you work on and then continue on independently.
Focus on results: You deliver the tasks and projects that you promise, and you don't invent new solutions if an appropriate one already exists.
On top of that, you have been part of a journey where:
You were involved in the development of the core product features using TypeScript, Javascript, React and Node.
You have a good understanding of and experience with native DOM API’s (e.g. drag&drop, element positioning, scrolling, etc)
You have used any state management tools such as Redux, Flux, ReCoil, MobX (etc).
You wrote unit and end-to-end tests using tools such as Mocha, Jest or similar.
Bonus points if you’ve worked with Material UI and Webpack.
