Role Overview: We are looking for a hands-on Senior Brand Manager to lead and elevate the company's brand presence in the MENA region. This role will play a pivotal role in solidifying Manara as the go-to leader in tech upskilling while maintaining the integrity of our brand’s mission, values, and vision. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to create a powerful brand strategy that positions Manara as a thought leader in the tech upskilling space through thought-provoking content, media campaign, speaking engagements, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Strategy Development & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy to ensure Manara is recognized as the leading tech upskilling platform in the MENA region.
- Identify and align brand messaging across all marketing channels to maintain consistency, relevance, and impact.
- Drive brand positioning and key messaging to reinforce Manara’s unique value proposition in the tech upskilling space
2. Market Research & Insights:
- Lead market research and competitive analysis to understand the evolving landscape of tech upskilling, competitors, and consumer behavior.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies that resonate with target audiences, including software engineers, training partners, and employers.
3. Brand Awareness & Recognition:
- Oversee and execute brand-building initiatives, including partnerships, media outreach, and collaborating with our growth team on digital marketing campaigns, to drive awareness in key markets.
- Work closely with content, PR, and social media teams to ensure consistent brand representation across all touchpoints.
4. Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with internal departments such as Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align brand strategies with business goals and deliver impactful brand experiences.
- Build strong relationships with external partners, media outlets, and influencers to amplify brand reach and credibility in the tech industry.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment of brand strategy with company vision and goals.
5. Brand Monitoring & Performance:
- Establish metrics to monitor brand health, equity, and campaign performance, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Analyze brand performance against key KPIs, adapting strategies as needed to drive desired results.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or communications, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Experience within the tech, education, or upskilling sectors is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of building and managing strong brands, particularly in emerging markets or global contexts.
- Proven track record in working with social impact brands in Egypt and/or MENA
- Remote Work Savvy: Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones, leveraging async communication tools effectively.
Location
We are a hybrid remote company with colleagues based internationally in the US, Europe, and MENA, and a team based in Cairo. This role is remote but based in Cairo.
Our remote global team travels regularly to Cairo and we do 1-2 annual, company-wide meetups for everyone to get together, socialize, and co-work.
