Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, entry-level Early Learning Solutions Specialist to join our sales team in Southern California. In this role, you’ll introduce MarcoPolo’s award-winning early learning products to schools, Head Start programs, and childcare centers. If you have a background in education, strong communication skills, and a passion for early childhood development, this is a great opportunity to break into edtech sales while making a real impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your existing network, attend events, and employ various outreach methods—including phone, email, and in-person meetings—to connect with school districts and early childhood centers about our products.
  • Develop our brand in your local market through social media, email campaigns, and participation in community events.
  • Conduct online presentations, product demos, and face-to-face meetings with school leaders and administrators, supported by our central team.
  • Proactively engage in outreach efforts, including cold calling school administrators where appropriate, to build interest and generate leads.
  • Maintain a regular presence in the field by meeting prospects in person and attending regional events or meetings as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to effectively position our products.
  • Keep accurate records of outreach activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using our CRM software.
  • Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding market insights, customer responses, and product recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching preschool or kindergarten in a school district or state-funded early childhood center.
  • Background in school district roles such as instructional coordinator, education administrator, curriculum coordinator, or program specialist.
  • Strong, existing relationships and a professional network within your local school district.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with potential partners.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations, including cold outreach, and following through with persistence and professionalism.
  • Confident presenting to groups and leading discussions with decision-makers.
  • Self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
  • Relationship-driven and energized by face-to-face interactions; enjoys building in-person connections and is open to regular travel within the region for meetings and events.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a meaningful impact in the field.
  • Prior business development or sales experience is preferred but not required.

Salary: Total compensation of $70,000–$80,000, plus commission, stock options, and full benefits.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary with commission
  • Equity through stock options
  • Hybrid and flexible schedule.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • 401K plan with matching.
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation.
  • Winter Break during Christmas & New Year
  • Family-friendly environment and culture that values work-life balance.
  • Access to learning and growth opportunities.
  • Meaningful work supporting early childhood development.
