Role
As Design Engineer, you own the end-to-end experience—from concept to pixel-perfect code. You work directly with the founding team to craft and ship the interfaces that define our product. You think like a designer, build like an engineer, and obsess over details that create moments of delight.
You'll:
Shape the product vision — Partner with engineering and go-to-market teams to identify high-impact opportunities, scope what's feasible, and push the boundaries of what users expect.
Design and prototype rapidly — Move from rough concepts to interactive prototypes, iterating based on user feedback and technical constraints.
Ship production UI — Code React components, implement layouts, and build interactions that feel fast and natural.
Own quality bar — Set and maintain exceptional standards for visual polish, interaction design, and performance across the entire product.
Run user research — Design and conduct user testing sessions, synthesize insights, and translate findings into product improvements.
Profile
You’re and expert in Figma. You have strong visual design fundamentals and interaction design intuition built over 5+ years experience in challenging environments.
You’re proficient in React and Tailwind (or ready to ramp up fast). You understand that shipping to production and deploying with customers is the finish line - not delivering Figma files.
You can sketch, design, and code a working prototype in an afternoon to test an idea.
You can think in systems. You know when to build a reusable component vs. ship a one-off. You create design systems that scale without slowing down iteration.
You’re obsessive about your craft. You notice when padding is off by 2px, when an animation curve feels wrong, or when a micro-interaction could spark delight. These details matter to you.
You’re a builder. You're energized by learning fast, working across disciplines, and becoming an expert in the problem space (digital media operations). You thrive in ambiguity and ship even when things aren't perfect.
