  • Undertake IPC risk assessments for:

    • Virtual and remote clinical pathways

    • Face-to-face clinical activity

    • Premises, equipment and patient flow

  • Lead IPC incident review, investigation and learning

Subcontractor Oversight

  • Establish IPC assurance processes for subcontracted providers

  • Review subcontractor IPC documentation and standards

  • Provide expert advice on IPC risks and escalation where standards are not met

  • Support contractual and governance teams with IPC-related due diligence

Education & Culture

  • Develop IPC induction and training content for staff and contractors

  • Promote a positive IPC culture across the organisation

  • Act as a source of expert advice and support for clinical and non-clinical teams

Audit & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and deliver a proportionate IPC audit programme

  • Monitor trends, incidents and emerging risks

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IPC safety and assurance
