About Picnic
Our mission is simple: to make the world better friends.
Our friends matter more than we think; research has shown that our social health is just as important as our physical and mental health. That’s why we’re an ethical B Corp spearheading feel-good social media; designed for those who want to see fewer videos from strangers and more photos from their favourite people. We’re currently working on a photo-swapping app, but that’s just the beginning.
About the app
Picnic is the photo-swapping app you’ve been waiting for. No more low-quality photos, AirDrop chaos, cluttered camera rolls or precious memories lost in the group chat. We’re building an app that makes it simple to send and receive photos, easy to pick the ones you want to keep, and fun to use when you want to look back on old adventures.
Swap pics instantly
Just drag your photos and drop them on your friends avatar to start a swap. Then they do the same to send you their pics. Easy.
Pick your favourites
Once a swap has started, you and your friends have 24 hours to favourite the pics you want to keep. Everything else goes.
Share your highlights
When the swap is over, you're left with an edit of just the best bits – and a shareable slideshow video built for social.
About the Role
As part of our next phase of growth, we are looking to work with an enthusiastic and passionate marketing assistant. This role is an entry-level, part-time position, working 3 days a week, and reporting to our Co-Founder and CEO, Jack.
You will be responsible for:
Helping to manage, plan and execute field marketing campaigns in cities across the UK
Scheduling and managing our brand social accounts on Tiktok and Instagram
Liaising with and organising Tiktok creatives, and sourcing new creatives that fit with our brand and tone-of-voice
Sourcing and managing brand ambassadors at university campuses around the UK
Helping to expand the breadth of our user research participants – reaching out to and screening potential users, organising and sending out merch & research initiatives
Sourcing and managing suppliers for branded merch (and keeping track of our stock levels)
You will have:
A passion for social media and an opinion on what works for branded content and ads on Tiktok and Instagram
The ability to maintain a project tracker and prioritise your own workload, while also being able to adapt priorities in line with the needs of the business
An interest in consumer-facing mobile products, especially in the social media and photo-sharing space
The ability to use your own initiative, suggest new and fresh ideas and implement them
An interest in photography and video production
Great organisational skills
Belief in Picnic’s mission!
A bachelor’s degree (or foundational education) in a marketing or related field
