Intro

At Pleo, we’re on a mission to revolutionise the way businesses manage company spending. No more outdated processes, clunky spreadsheets, or frustrating delays - we believe spend management should be seamless, empowering, and surprisingly effective for finance teams and employees alike. We’re creating tools that promote autonomy, foster trust, and let businesses focus on what truly matters.

Our culture is built on transparency, collaboration, and a deep commitment to innovation - which is reflected in our spending solution. At Pleo, you’ll join a passionate team shaping the future of work, all while having some fun along the way.

About the role

At Pleo, we’re on a mission to scale to €1bn ARR, and Partnerships will be a cornerstone of that journey. Today, partnerships contribute less than 10% of our customer pipeline. Our ambition? Flip that on its head and make Partnerships responsible for driving more than half of all new growth.

Until now, our sales-led and product-led growth engines have served us well. But to truly grow exponentially and drive customer stickiness, we need to meet customers where they already are: working with accountants, bookkeepers, software providers, banks, payment providers, etc.. We’re starting with the most influential group in SMB finance: Accountants and Bookkeepers.

As Group Product Manager for Partnerships, you’ll define and lead the product strategy that makes Pleo the platform accountants choose to run 90–100% of their client base. Your job is to empower every accounting partner to be a hero for their clients, by streamlining finance workflows, unlocking insights, and making Pleo the most collaborative and scalable spend management platform in the market.

What you’ll be doing

As Group Product Manager, you will:

  • Set the vision and strategy for how Pleo wins with Accountants & Bookkeepers.
  • Own the product roadmap across four core value pillars:
    • Workflow Automation: eliminate manual effort in receipt capture, reconciliation, categorisation.
    • Client Collaboration: tools for chasing docs, managing tasks, tracking client status.
    • Insight & Control: surface usage data and financial signals to support smarter advisory.
    • Scalable Onboarding & Support: make it seamless to onboard and manage 10–100+ clients, with one-click exports and syncs to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and more.
  • Draw inspiration from the best partner led companies, Shopify and Xero on ecosystem distribution, Stripe on embedded scale, Microsoft on channel execution, Ramp on accountant collaboration, and then push beyond them to define the category.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering to drive adoption and retention at scale.
  • Explore build vs. buy: partner with our SVP Partnerships on M&A opportunities, including workflow mapping, thesis building, target evaluation, and due diligence.
  • Drive outcomes, not features: run experiments, validate assumptions, and deliver partner value that translates into pipeline growth.

What you bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Strong exposure to embedded/channel partnerships (non-negotiable), with Proven product leadership experience, ideally in SaaS, fintech, accounting software, or partner ecosystems
  • A strong track record of shaping strategy and roadmap to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Customer obsession: you thrive on deeply understanding workflows and turning pain points into elegant, scalable solutions.
  • Commercial instinct: able to balance what’s best for partners, their clients, and Pleo’s growth engine.
  • Data-driven mindset: fluent in product analytics and hypothesis-driven decision making.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, aligning GTM, Product, and Partnerships around shared goals.
  • Bonus: experience evaluating M&A opportunities and integrating products into a broader ecosystem.

Who you’ll be working with and reporting to

You’ll report directly to the SVP of Partnerships and collaborate closely with:

  • Partnerships org across Accounting, Tech, Embedded, and Consulting
  • Lead a cross functional team with representation from engineering, research and design, product marketing, data, etc. focused on workflows, collaboration, and integrations
  • GTM teams (Marketing, Sales, CS) ensuring distribution and adoption
  • Senior leadership shaping Pleo’s strategic bets in partnerships and acquisitions

How you’ll develop in this role

In your first 3–6 months, you’ll:

  • Map and validate the end-to-end Accountant & Bookkeeper journey with Pleo.
  • Define and align the product strategy for Partnerships, starting with accounting.
  • Deliver early wins in workflow automation and collaboration that partners love.
  • Contribute to the build vs. buy thesis in the accountant software space.

As you grow, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Scale your impact across other vertical partnerships (software providers, banks).
  • Build and mentor a team of product managers focused on partnerships.
  • Play a key role in shaping how partnerships drive 50%+ of Pleo’s acquisition engine.

Why join us?

Working at Pleo means you're working on something very exciting: the future of work. Our mission is to help every company go beyond the books. Pleo itself means ‘more than you’d expect’, and it’s been the secret to our success over the last 8 years. So it’s only fitting that we’d pass this philosophy onto our customers to help them make the most of their finances.

We think company spending should be delegated to all employees and teams, that it should be as automated as possible, and that it should drive a culture of responsible spending. Finance teams shouldn’t be siloed from the rest of the organisation – they should work in unity with marketing, sales, IT and everyone else.

Speaking of working in unity, our values tell the story of how we work at Pleo. We have four core values, the first of which is ‘champion the customer’, which means we address real pain points that businesses face. Next up is ‘succeed as a team’, which highlights how our strength lies in our diversity and trust in each other. We also ‘make it happen’ by taking bold decisions and following through to deliver results. Last but not least, we ‘build to scale’, creating lasting solutions that address today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s needs.

So, in a nutshell, that's Pleo. Today we are a 850+ team, from over 100 nations, sitting in our Copenhagen HQ, London, Stockholm, Berlin, Madrid, Montreal and Lisbon offices —and quite a few full-time remotes in 35 other countries! Being HQ'd out of Copenhagen means we're inspired by things like a good work-life balance. If you don't work in the office with us, we'll help you set up the best remote setup possible and make sure you still have time to connect with your team.
