Who are we?

Our name is derived from Plumeria, a beautiful flower growing in many tropical countries and considered a sacred plant in some of them. Plumeria symbolises new beginnings, dedication, and beauty. Our mission reflects this symbolism as we pave a new way for how banking is experienced by millions of people globally, with unconditional commitment and meticulous attention to every detail of what we do.
We are banking rebels, revolutionising how banking is done for over two decades. Our founders and leadership team have been instrumental in building two banking unicorns, defining new categories in the industry. Plumery was founded by Ben Goldin, former Chief Product & Technology Officer of Mambu, the leading cloud core banking platform, and ex-Chief Architect of Backbase, a global engagement banking provider for financial institutions. Ben has over 20 years of experience building products and technology for banks and other financial institutions.

What will you be working on?

We are looking for curious and passionate engineers to join us in building our developer-centric platform from the ground up.

• You will be part of an exciting journey, creating a financial platform from scratch that will impact hundreds of financial institutions and millions of end users.
• You will have the freedom to own the end-to-end development cycle, starting from understanding the problem we are solving, designing and developing the solution through collaboration with prospects and customers, running continuous integration and deployment, and finally validating the impact through monitoring and customer feedback.
• You will shape the product by actively participating in the product discovery process, raising concerns, and sharing new ideas.
• You will help to solve complex problems and mentor more junior team members.

What are we looking for?

• You should have a good understanding of Secure SDLC and OWASP concepts and be able to implement them in the code.
• You have practical experience working in a GitOps culture, as well as a solid understanding of Kubernetes and infrastructure.
• You have solid experience building, operating, and distributing backend services in production.
• You write high-quality code that is readable and reliable (Java/Kotlin).
• You have a start-up mentality. You understand shipping a feature early and learning from the result is more important than perfecting it.
• You are always willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in when the team needs help.

Bonus Points:

• Experience building event-sourced architectures/li>
• Production experience in database development (SQL or NoSQL), including migrations, scalability, and performance tasks
