IT Specialist
Resistant AI
IT, Education
Prague, Czechia
Curious about making technology work smoothly, securely, and without drama?
Do you enjoy solving practical technical problems, helping people get unstuck, and making sure everyone has the tools and access they need to do their best work? Are you the kind of person who notices when a recurring login issue, software installation problem, or laptop setup could be handled better — and then actually helps improve it?
We’re looking for someone who loves hands-on IT support, enjoys helping colleagues, and wants to make everyday technology simple, reliable, and secure inside a fast-moving AI company.
You’ll join our Infrastructure and Security team and become one of the key people supporting our internal IT environment: user accounts, software access, MacBooks, onboarding, troubleshooting, tickets, authenticators, device handovers, and the many small but important things that keep a company productive.
Let’s find out more!
About us:
We are Resistant AI, a fast-moving startup where things happen quickly, and decisions are made just as fast. We believe in taking initiative — better to ask forgiveness than permission — but don’t worry, we keep it organized and collaborative. If you love the thrill of building, improving, and making things work better every week, you will fit right in!
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our Infrastructure and Security team in Prague in a hybrid setup.
This is a hands-on, people-facing IT support role for someone who enjoys making technology easier for others. You will be one of the first points of contact for our colleagues when they need help with software, access, authentication, device setup, installations, troubleshooting, or day-to-day IT questions.
The role is important because many of these responsibilities are currently handled by people who need to focus on broader infrastructure, security, and operational priorities. You will help us make internal IT support more structured, responsive, and scalable — while keeping the experience friendly, practical, and human.
You do not need to be a senior infrastructure engineer. We are looking for someone reliable, curious, organized, and service-minded, with enough technical confidence to solve everyday IT problems and the willingness to learn more as we grow.
What will you be doing?
- Support our colleagues every day: You will provide friendly and practical IT support for internal users, mostly around software, access, MacBooks, applications, installation issues, authentication tools, and general troubleshooting.
- Work through tickets from day one: You will handle incoming IT support requests through our ticketing process, prioritize issues, communicate clearly with colleagues, and make sure problems are followed through to resolution.
- Help with software and application access: You will support colleagues with application setup, permissions, access requests, login problems, account recovery, and software-related issues in line with company policies.
- Troubleshoot authentication issues: You will help users resolve problems with authenticators, lost or replaced devices, MFA setup, login recovery, and other common account access situations.
- Support onboarding: You will help prepare new joiners with the equipment, accounts, access, and software setup they need to be productive from day one.
- Support offboarding and device handovers: You will assist with access removal support, device returns, equipment handovers, and keeping the process clean and secure.
- Maintain endpoint devices: You will help install, configure, and troubleshoot MacBooks, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, printers, and basic workplace technology.
- Keep asset records accurate: You will help maintain our device inventory, including assigned laptops, accessories, lifecycle status, returns, replacements, and handover tracking.
- Coordinate simple repairs and replacements: You will help organize repairs, warranty cases, replacements, and vendor support for endpoint devices and office IT equipment when needed.
- Document recurring issues and solutions: You will write down common problems, troubleshooting steps, support procedures, and internal how-to guides so we can solve issues faster and share knowledge better.
- Work closely with Infrastructure and Security: You will support internal IT processes in a way that is reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with our security expectations.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in IT support, helpdesk, workplace IT, or a similar role is a strong plus. Around 1–2 years of relevant experience would be great, but motivation, reliability, and mindset matter a lot.
- Comfort with macOS and Apple devices: You should be confident helping users with MacBooks, macOS settings, software installation, updates, peripherals, and everyday troubleshooting.
- Good software troubleshooting skills: You enjoy figuring out why something does not work, whether it is an installation problem, access issue, application setting, login flow, or user configuration.
- Basic understanding of identity and access management: You do not need to be a security expert, but you should understand why account access, MFA, approvals, and offboarding discipline matter.
- A service-oriented approach: You like helping people, communicate clearly, and can explain technical things in a calm and understandable way.
- Good organization and attention to detail: Tickets, asset records, access requests, handovers, and troubleshooting notes only work when someone keeps the details under control.
- A proactive mindset: You do not just close tickets. You notice patterns, suggest improvements, and help prevent the same issue from coming back again and again.
- Basic networking awareness: You should understand enough about WiFi, connectivity, DNS, and common office network issues to troubleshoot first-level problems or escalate them clearly.
- Clear communication in Czech and English: You will support colleagues locally and internationally, so you should be comfortable communicating in both languages.
- Technical education is welcome but not mandatory: A technical high school, university background, certification, or equivalent practical experience can all be relevant.
What do we offer?

- A fast-growing company where your ideas and improvements matter
