About the role
Our Risk team sits at the very core of Revolut. It works across functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure that the business is on safe footing. People in the Risk team are among the first in the company to get involved in new business initiatives, from app technology, to treasury and finance, to customer support.
We’re looking for an Operational Risk Manager to work closely with the Head of Risk and key stakeholders across the company. As part of the Risk team, you'll have an exciting opportunity to see the whole picture and help cross-departmentally, helping to make an impact company-wide as we continue our hyper-growth.

What you’ll be doing
- Working with the first line of defense (1LOD) to identify, assess, document, and review risks
- Providing oversight and guiding 1LOD in the design, implementation, and effectiveness testing of business controls
- Developing and implementing risk policies, procedures, key indicators, and appetite statement
- Monitoring risks against limits and thresholds, producing reports to management and other relevant stakeholders
- Working with local and global stakeholders in the risk incident management process, including risk event registration, investigation, and root-cause analysis
- Managing and delivering risk reports to senior management
- Participating in the local New Initiatives Approval Process, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and governance
- Facilitating appropriate risk awareness and risk culture amongst staff
- Supporting audits and regulatory inquiries related to operational risk
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience in risk management or a related role within financial services
- A bachelor’s degree
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Impressive, critical thinking, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
Nice to have
- Proficiency in SQL
- A solid understanding of regulations within financial services
- Knowledge of fintech products, processes, and technologies
- Experience in operational risk capital calculation and the ICAAP process
- A master's degree
- Professional certifications, such as PRMIA
