  • Owning the general ledger and building an objective understanding for underlying transactions and movements in key accounts
  • Coordinating the accounting and month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely closing of the books for monthly and annual reporting
  • Leading annual and interim audits
  • Managing the accounting policy, ensuring it's up-to-date and latest changes in French Gaap, IFRS, and Group policies are implemented
  • Contributing to and defining consolidation and financial control processes and procedures
  • Leading accurate and timely submission of all regulatory reporting, ensuring latest regulator requirements are implemented
  • Looking for synergies and automation opportunities within Accounting, Prudential Reporting, and the wider Finance team

What you'll need

  • 10+ years of experience in finance functions within banking or financial services
  • To be a Chartered Accountant or significant expertise in accounting and financial control
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, banking regulations, regulatory frameworks, and tax regulations in France
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queries
  • The ability to comprehend and narrate financial records to external stakeholders
  • To have a positive attitude with a "can do" approach
  • A willingness to give everything a go, from manual processing to larger projects
  • Exceptional time management and organisation skills to plan, organise, and manage work effectively and within tight timeframes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A university degree in accounting, management, or economics
