About the role
Government Affairs is responsible for shaping the external regulatory environment to support Revolut’s growth and profitability, while driving innovation through regulation in a way which is positive for consumers, businesses, merchants and broader society.
We're looking for a sharp, organised, and passionate Government and Public Policy professional to lead our advocacy across the region. You'll be responsible for shaping the debate on both national policy interventions and regional-level legislation and regulation.
You'll be a key strategic adviser to our Product Owners, our Country managers, and our regional management team, enabling them to successfully navigate the fast evolving regulatory landscape on everything from Open Data, Digital ID, and Instant Payments, to Credit, Insurance, Prudential regulation, and beyond.

What you'll be doing
- Analysing threats and opportunities, and working with Product Owners and regional leaders to prioritise and develop advocacy strategies
- Building trusted relationships with Ministries of Economy, Finance, and Investment, as well as key policy teams at regulators (e.g. CBUAE, DFSA, SAMA)
- Establishing connections with third-party groups, including consumer, merchant, and small business associations
- Driving public advocacy efforts and leveraging external coalitions to advance key policy priorities
- Monitoring political debate and regulatory and legislative initiatives
- Speaking at public events and engaging with press to shape and inform policy discussions
- Collaborating with coders to develop innovative engagement tools that support advocacy efforts
- Engaging in additional jurisdictions based on business needs or personal career goals
What you'll need
- 10+ years of experience developing or influencing government or regulatory policy
- A strong understanding of the difference between good politics and good policy, how policymakers and regulators think, and how to advocate for good outcomes
- Genuine interest in technology and financial policy
- Excellent written communication and ability to convey messages concisely using data
- Proven ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities
- Willingness to build strong, mutually respectful relationships with diverse teams and across stakeholders of varying seniority
- Comfort with using software tools to manage workflows
- Excellent understanding of current financial services regulations, including Payments, Prudential, Open Banking, Crypto, AML, and Digital Identity
