About the role

Our Compliance team blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to make sure our products meet legal and policy requirements and deliver real value to customers. In a fast-moving, digital environment, they stay one step ahead by finding smart, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.

We’re looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to implement a local data protection and privacy strategy. You'll be advancing the adoption of our Group policy, procedures, risk, and control frameworks throughout the region.

What you'll be doing

• Advising the business on data protection requirements and related controls
• Developing and implementing a scalable data protection compliance program, aligned with group standards and regulatory expectations, working in close partnership with the Group DPO
• Overseeing 1LoD's management of data protection and privacy risks and controls
• Monitoring changes in regulatory obligations and identifying necessary controls to mitigate associated risks
• Creating and delivering local training to enhance data protection and privacy awareness in the region
• Reporting to senior management and the Group DPO on the implementation of the global data protection and privacy program in Argentina and its associated compliance risks
• Monitoring how data subject rights requests are handled by the global DPO support team and assisting with local responses
• Representing Revolut in front of key internal (Legal, Risk, etc.) and external (regulators, advisors, vendors, partners, etc.) stakeholders

What you'll need

• 5+ years experience as a Data Protection Officer in Argentina, involving direct engagement with the Argentinian Central Bank
• Expertise in the Argentinian data protection landscape, market practices, and regulator expectations
• Excellent knowledge of the Argentina’s Data Protection Act and other relevant data protection laws, regulations, rules, and guidance in the region
• A willingness and passion to develop knowledge and expertise in other related areas, such as wider data and AI governance
• A solid understanding of the interplay between compliance risk and business risk
• A solution-oriented mindset that facilitates solving complex privacy and data protection problems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated sound judgement and analytical skills
• The ability to provide clear, concise, and timely advice when dealing with ambiguity
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Spanish (native level)

• A background working in large banks or high-growth fintech companies
• Leadership and team management capabilities
• A proven ability to work in a complex international environment
• Relevant data protection certifications
