Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators.

At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.

A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

Roblox Operating System (ROS) is an internal platform that governs how we operate as a company. Via a holistic and integrated set of tools, ROS shapes our talent and personnel decisions, how work is planned and organized, how communication and knowledge is discovered, and ultimately how we scale effectively.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Talent Acquisition & Compensation (TACO) team, which sits within the ROS organization. This team is focused on product innovation to streamline our recruiting processes and build incredible compensation tools that help our Builders stay motivated and rewarded. This is an established team at Roblox, and we need a leader who can work with a high level of freedom and autonomy, advocate for best-in-class development practices, and collaborate with internal and external partners daily. You will have a massive impact on how we attract, retain, and motivate talent at Roblox.

You will:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on Talent Acquisition & Compensation (TACO) products within the ROS platform.
  • Define and execute the product and technical strategy for streamlining recruiting and building next-generation compensation tools.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and internal stakeholders (like HR, Recruiting, and Compensation teams) to deliver impactful solutions that help Roblox scale effectively.
  • Champion engineering excellence, advocating for best-in-class development practices, code quality, and system reliability.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Partner with both internal and external teams to align on technical direction and ensure successful project execution.

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • 10+ years in software engineering, combining hands-on technical expertise with proven team leadership. History of successfully building complex, large-scale systems and guiding teams (5+) to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership or management role, with a passion for mentoring and developing engineers.
  • Strong technical background and a product-oriented mindset, with experience building internal tools or enterprise-level applications.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional (XFN) management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with and navigate the needs of challenging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive and autonomous work style, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving initiatives from concept to completion.
