As a Senior QA Engineer here at that is part of the Rendering Team. You will lead the design, creation and execution of manual and automation effort. You will report directly into the Sr QA Manager and work as a collaborative team member with cross-functional teams.

You Are:

  • A quality professional with 5+ years of specialized expertise in QA for Rendering, Graphics, or Game Engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity, custom engines).
  • Proficient in designing and managing enterprise-level automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, affecting multiple teams.
  • Strong in scripting or programming experience in C++, Python, or Lua, used to design and implement internal tools.
  • Equipped with exceptional analytical and complex debugging skills necessary to determine cross-platform hardware and GPU issue resolution.
  • A proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and influence over Engineering and Release teams regarding quality standards and system health.

You Will:

  • Architect, define, and own the comprehensive test strategy and execution plans for Rendering features, encompassing GPU pipelines, lighting models, shaders, materials, and post-processing.
  • Lead complex validation efforts and determine the root cause and priority for visual or performance defects across diverse, high-stakes platforms (mobile, console, desktop, VR).
  • Partner with Productivity and Rendering Engineers to integrate specialized automated Rendering tests into core CI/CD systems using internal frameworks (Arrow, Apollo, UTP), ensuring high-fidelity coverage.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to influence architectural decisions based on complex GPU/CPU performance data analysis, identifying and recommending solutions for critical bottlenecks.
  • Lead release readiness activities for all Rendering components in release and integration builds.
  • Uses rendering experience to contribute to evolution of the core automation framework, leading enhancements to automation coverage, image diff algorithms, and shader validation tools.
  • Exercise independent judgment during on-call rotation to resolve emergency integration or performance validation issues and use learnings to enhance quality product roadmap.
  • Drive the long-term Rendering QA strategy to ensure visual consistency and performance scalability across all platforms.
  • Lead development engineers, fostering technical growth in graphics testing and performance validation.
  • Lead offshore QA coordination, defining standards for test quality, triage, and automation integration.
  • Represent Rendering QA in Engine release, influencing cross-team decisions around performance, reliability, and regression prevention.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$154,570$184,100 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
