£80k - £100k + equity package
About the role
We’re seeking an entrepreneurial ML engineer who will work closely with the founders to build and scale Stackfix’s software marketplace. Think of this as combining Research with Engineering, with the extra ownership that comes with being our first ML Engineer. You'll play a fundamental role in shaping our tech, product, and company.
Who you are
You are first and foremost a builder. You have a track record of shipping products in a fast-paced environment.
You have experience building agentic systems using LLMs or RL techniques, recommendation systems, and/or Q&A “chatbot” systems using RAG techniques or similar.
You have a bias to productionize. You want (and know how) to push the results of your research to customers, in order to solve real-world problems.
You thrive in a startup environment. You’re excited by the idea of speaking with customers in the morning and shipping features to solve their problems in the afternoon. You’re ok with priorities changing and you’re comfortable with risk.
You value working with people who are low ego, ambitious and pragmatic.
You are comfortable figuring out how to build things you haven't built before.
You’re an excellent communicator. Both written and verbally.
You have experience with most of the following: Python, AWS, Docker, Pytorch, Langchain, DSPy, MySQL (Planetscale).
You are excited to work in-person from our office in London (80% of the time).
Some topics you’ll think about
Designing LLM-powered agents that analyze software products. You’ll be working on the cutting-edge of this domain with support to fully explore what agentic systems are capable of.
Building real-time data transformation pipelines to process diverse, unstructured product data into useful data for our customers.
Defining a new standard for market intelligence. You’ll take ownership over the data products we’re creating to increase the efficiency of the software market.
