About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and helpful Developer Experience Engineer to join our growing tech team in order to enable developer efficiency and technical excellence

The role is all about improving our complex infrastructure and helping the engineers be as productive as possible.

What you'll get up to

Every day is different! As a Developer Experience Engineer you will help the engineering team with the necessary tooling to support our growing infrastructure. You’ll contribute to Superscript’s success by:

• Empowering our engineers to be responsible for deploying and maintaining their solutions
• Improving our CI structure, most likely in Github actions
• Bettering our CD, most likely from Github actions to Heroku / Netlify
• Automating our infrastructure using Terraform
• Contributing across the whole tech team in both the day to day, tooling and architectural principles
• Running our tests in parallel
• Ensuring our CI/CD practices are the best they can be
• Creating or contributing to open source projects to give back

About you

We don’t like to put people into boxes, but it’s safe to say you;

• Have experience as a Senior Engineer preferably in Laravel / Vue
• Deep knowledge of Terraform and how it can be used to efficiently automate infrastructure
• Appreciation for our tech stack: Laravel, Heroku, Netlify, Event Sourcing
• Passionate about empowering developers to be independent in maintaining their own solutions
• Architectural thinking for distributed systems and complex workflows
• The ability to create simple solutions for complex problems
• Knowledge of data processing solutions such as dbt and Snowflake
