About the role

We’re looking for a commercially driven Account Executive to help accelerate growth within our Specialty New Business Broking team. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of high-growth, complex clients, acting as a strategic advisor and primary point of contact across the full insurance lifecycle.

From onboarding and placement through to mid-term adjustments, you’ll deliver tailored, high-value solutions that protect fast-scaling businesses and unlock long-term client value. Working closely with Account Managers, Assistant Account Executives, and Underwriters, you’ll structure bespoke cover that balances risk, opportunity, and commercial outcomes.

As Superscript continues to expand into new and niche verticals, you’ll play a key role in spotting growth opportunities, deepening client relationships, and contributing to the evolution of our specialty offering.

What you'll get up to:

  • Own and manage your own book of clients across a range of specialist verticals.

  • Deliver exceptional service standards throughout the full client lifecycle.

  • Support placement and broking by preparing tailored documentation, market presentations, and quote comparisons.

  • Handle all new business, mid-term adjustments and general enquiries with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Work collaboratively with Account Managers and Assistant Account Executives to deliver joined-up, commercially strong service.

  • Negotiate effectively with underwriters to secure favourable terms aligned to client needs and risk appetite.

  • Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation in line with compliance standards.

  • Identify and escalate risks, errors, or improvement opportunities where needed.

  • Stay up to date on market trends, product developments, and insurer appetite.

  • Proactively support cross-sell, upsell and retention efforts where appropriate.

About you:

  • 2+ years experience in a commercial broking or account handling role.

  • Progress toward Cert CII (or equivalent) is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Confident working in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
