At Timper, engineers help decide what gets built in the real world.

We're on a mission to help build what the world needs. We're building the AI operating partner for real estate development: software and agents that help developers understand what can be built, where, why, and how to get it approved faster. This means transforming regulations, permits, zoning plans, local sentiments, geospatial layers, public inquiries, and decades of fragmented documents into a system AI can reason over reliably.

Our founders combine real estate expansion, regulatory expertise, and frontier AI engineering experience from Tesla, Deloitte Real Estate, Cleary Gottlieb, Greenomy (exited), Harvard, and McKinsey. We're backed by Seedcamp, Kima Ventures, TinyVC, and angels from ElevenLabs, real estate executives and unicorn repeat founders.

We're hiring Founding Data Engineers.

You'll work directly with the founders. No layers. No middle management. You'll own real systems, solve problems with no existing playbook, speak with users, and ship constantly. We hire for raw intelligence, velocity, and hunger to build.

What you'll do

  • Build pipelines that ingest data from APIs, PDFs, websites, geospatial layers, and public registries into bronze/gold data layers
  • Design scalable data models powering product features, AI systems, and internal operations
  • Own orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and reliability across the data stack
  • Build data quality systems for freshness, schema drift, completeness, and trustworthiness
  • Develop LLM-powered parsing pipelines that turn unstructured documents into structured records ready for product consumption
  • Work closely with product and engineering to ship new data features in days
  • Help define the long-term architecture and data moat of the company

You might be a fit if you

  • Move fast and like owning systems end-to-end
  • Have strong PostgreSQL + Python skills
  • Have built production data pipelines and workflow systems
  • Are comfortable with modern tooling (Dagster, dbt, Airflow, Spark, queues, cloud infra, etc.)
  • Care about product impact, not just elegant pipelines
  • Want to join early and shape the company
