Your mission
In the Sales Engineer – Commercial Banking & Financial Services role, you will serve as a strategic advisor to mid-market banking and financial services organizations, helping customers modernize operations through Automation and AI. You will partner with prospects, customers, and the UiPath sales organization to identify opportunities across lending, underwriting, servicing, compliance, finance, risk, and customer operations where intelligent automation can drive measurable business outcomes. You will design innovative solutions leveraging the UiPath platform and help secure technical wins by aligning automation strategies to the operational, regulatory, and customer experience priorities of financial institutions.
What you'll do at UiPath
Evangelize the value that Automation and AI bring to banking and financial services organizations by combining digital workforce capabilities with advanced AI/ML technologies.
Act as a trusted advisor to mid-market banks, credit unions, financial services firms, and fintech organizations seeking to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, compliance, and scalability.
Understand key industry trends, regulatory pressures, and operational challenges impacting banking and financial services organizations, including areas such as loan operations, KYC/AML, fraud detection, servicing, treasury operations, finance, and back-office transformation.
Partner closely with sales teams to define account strategy, expand UiPath’s footprint within financial services accounts, and align solutions to desired business and operational outcomes.
Lead discovery workshops and process assessments to identify automation opportunities across banking and financial operations, quantify value realization, and develop transformation roadmaps.
Build and deliver industry-specific demonstrations, solution architectures, and proof of value (PoV) engagements tailored to banking and financial services use cases.
Collaborate with Product & Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and partner teams to refine industry solutions, accelerators, and go-to-market strategies for financial services customers.
Serve as a thought leader around intelligent automation, operational excellence, and AI-powered transformation within the banking and financial services industry.
Share lessons learned, best practices, and industry insights across the UiPath GTM organization.
Provide ongoing feedback from customers and the field to influence product innovation and improve customer outcomes.
What you'll bring to the team
Experience in a customer-facing, consulting, sales engineering, or solution advisory role.
Experience supporting banking, financial services, fintech, insurance, or highly regulated industries preferred.
Experience leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives involving AI, automation, workflow modernization, or RPA technologies.
Strong understanding of operational processes within banking and financial services organizations, including lending, servicing, compliance, finance operations, or customer onboarding.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable technology-driven solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and executive business audiences.
Ability to understand technical landscapes and architect enterprise-grade automation solutions.
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate measurable business value.
Knowledge of Lean principles, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement methodologies.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for learning emerging technologies and industry trends.
A background in consulting, sales engineering, automation programs, or financial services transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
