Role Overview 🚀

At Uncapped, we help ambitious founders realise their dreams. The Senior Investment Manager will sit at the core of our company. You will be responsible for ensuring sustainable underwriting practices across the credit lifecycle of our customers. You will lead a team of Investment Associates and Analysts who will determine the creditworthiness of businesses across their lifecycle and work with a team of work-out experts who will devise solutions for customers in financial difficulty. You will make significant inputs into our lending policies and end-to-end processes. In doing so, you will make decisions to fund thousands of growing SMEs that are the lifeblood of the global economy. Our loan book is poised to grow rapidly. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the team throughout the company to improve and automate our underwriting process so that we effectively maintain this trajectory. You will form part of a small team and will report directly to the Investment Director, who will provide the support and resources for you to help shape the role and wider function.

About Uncapped 👫

Uncapped has raised VC funding from most notable investors including Lakestar, Mouro Capital, Global Founders Capital, White Star Capital, Seedcamp, and All Iron Ventures.

What you will do ✍️

We need a lending expert to contribute to the continued growth of the business by assessing credit applications in the context of our policy guidelines and risk appetite. The Senior Investment Manager will:

  • Make timely and informed decisions with Analysts and Associates within individual mandates by thoroughly reviewing credit applications and structuring terms for products that customers are eligible for.
  • Make recommendations to the Credit Committee for decisions outside of their individual mandates.
  • Further our competitive advantage by improving our underwriting rules for existing and new product lines
  • Ensure sustained performance of the loan book through regular risk assessments and monitoring of the portfolio
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Tech teams to continuously improve and automate the end-to-end application process
  • Oversee the portfolio and work closely with collections and work-out teams to ensure that the right decisions are made for customers who are delinquent or are in financial difficulty
