Product Manager (Mobile)
Flexible work environment London (or Malta)
Weavr is the easiest way for businesses to embed relevant financial services into software at the point of need. In July, Weavr successfully obtained its EMI licence from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), which will enable the company to scale its support to existing and future B2B SaaS businesses.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs who are leaders in the fields of payments and fintech, we’re a team of 100+ can-do builders who are at the frontier of the embedded-finance industry.
The team is characterised by smart, kind and high-performing experts who offer and ask for respect, openness and trust. Weavr is still small enough to feel tight-knit but operates and communicates at the level of a more mature organisation.
This role & opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager (Mobile) to lead the development and implementation of features and technologies that can be used by our customers to embed financial services into their products.
As the Product Manager (mobile), you will be responsible for bridging the gap between our backend APIs and frontend mobile technologies, defining how our customers can maximise value from successful integration with our SDKs.
You will be responsible for ensuring an optimal end-user experience in a number of varied embedded banking use cases, across various platforms including iOS, Android native, React Native. Since our technologies are embedded into our customers’ applications, a keen talent for making our product easy to integrate, and confidence in communicating with external and partner developers on how to achieve this, are a must.
Responsibilities:
Product Ownership: Take ownership of features that enable our customers to run successful embedded finance programmes. Collaborate with other Product Managers to conceptualise and design product solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise requirements, translating them into actionable user stories and technical specifications.
API Integration: Work closely with backend developers to integrate banking APIs into mobile SDKs, ensuring security, reliability, and flexibility.
Delivery: Write high quality user stories and acceptance criteria that guide developers in building robust products.
Documentation: Maintain clear and easy-to-follow product documentation that explains the context of how our SDKs should be used, and review and incorporate technical specifications provided by developers into them.
Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensure that our features are delivered to developers of our customers in the technology of their choice, covering iOS, Android native, React Native, and Flutter platforms.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases and ensure thorough testing of embedded banking features, including functional, performance, and security testing.
Release Management: Coordinate with release management teams to plan and execute timely releases of embedded banking features, considering platform-specific requirements and dependencies.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor user feedback and analytics data to identify areas for improvement and drive iterative enhancements to embedded banking features.
About You
You will have a deep technical understanding of what is required to document and deliver highly technical requirements with lots of moving parts. You will bring experience delivering end to end product delivery of mobile optimised solutions preferably from a platform environment, however any technology-enabled start-up experience will be advantageous.
Qualifications:
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in the fintech or banking industry although others considered.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mobile app development technologies, including iOS, Android native, React Native, and Flutter with a strong understanding of backend APIs and experience with API integration in mobile applications.
Compliance Requirements: Familiarity with banking APIs and financial services industry standards (e.g., PSD2, Open Banking) is a plus.
Advantageous: Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining partner/customer integration and delivery projects is a strong plus.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams primarily in a remote-working, digital-first mode.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail, and confidence to promote high quality solution design and security.
Key Experience: Experience developing products for mobile apps, encompassing user experience and journeys, with technical understanding (and ideally experience) of developing SDKs.

About Weavr
Digital innovators of all kinds need to create, deploy and integrate frictionless payment flows in their products, applications and systems.
Today, there are ever more payment networks and systems to choose from or to support, and payment infrastructure has never been so open and API-enabled as it is today. However, the security and compliance burden has also increased, as has the complexity that comes with most power, choice and responsibility.
Weavr addresses these challenges in practical ways, simplifying how digital payments are purchased, delivered and consumed. With Weavr, building complex payment flows seems unreasonably simple. There’s no catch - Weavr is based on the results of an ambitious EU-Horizon 2020 funded research project that set to develop engineering solutions to the difficult problems of guaranteeing security and compliance while providing maximum openness and power to developers, and to simplify the creation of complex payment logic through model-driven engineering techniques.
