The role
As the Risk Tech Specialist in Wise Europe’s second line Risk Management Team, you will take over the IT/Security risk assurance function. Primarily responsible for 2nd Line of defence, check & challenge of IT/Security risk identification, assessment, mitigation and continuous improvement across all IT infrastructure, information system/assets of the organisation. You will be a key contributor in the oversight role, and risk partner for the delivery of the risk management framework in Europe.
What you'll be doing
Challenge the first line-of-defence functions on risks and key remediation controls during the RCSA workshops
Provide Tech ( IT & Sec) risk assurance for EU risks, monitor the mitigation across IT infrastructure, information system/assets of Wise EU
Ensure that IT control framework for the activities across Europe are aligned to the global framework and undertake the risk reviews
Develop on-going technology risk reporting, monitoring key trends and defining metrics to regularly measure control effectiveness
Providing aggregated Tech. risk supervision, measurement and reporting activities
Actively engaging in end-to-end risk remediation planning, resolution, and monitoring activities
Assist with the Technology Risk reporting operations ( including scheduling key monthly meetings, monitoring key milestones, escalation of past due activities, problem triage and management, and archiving key monthly artefacts for audit purposes)
Identifying potential regulatory and non-regulatory IT risks through thorough and ongoing risk assessments with relevant business leads
Building and maintaining strong and positive working relationships and effective means of communication with other risk associates.( Group & local Level).
Serve as the point of contact for Technology Risk Management.
Participate to the annual Business Continuity and/or IT Disaster Recovery plans exercises
What you'll bring
Advanced knowledge of organisation, technology controls, security and risk issues
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective trustworthy relationships with the IT/ Sec Teams and business stakeholders
Be familiar with various computer programming languages, is a plus
Ability to serve as an expert resource in technology controls and information security
Ability to explore, develop and adapt using automation tools
Strong Skills in cloud environment architecture a plus
Fluent in English, however French/Dutch is a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time to complete work
Staying aware of Information Security current affairs, business continuity, data management, security and encryption, and vulnerability analysis and audit
Experience with Key Risk Indicators and Technology Risk reporting preferred
