We’re looking for an Assets Operations Senior Specialist to join our team, focusing on Assets within the Global Products Operations area:
This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission by contributing to building and supporting operationally sustainable cross-border products and help save millions more people money.
Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also give their money a boost by choosing from different investment options within the Wise Account.
An Assets Operations Senior Specialist’s role is to support the Assets product team as a representative of the Payment Operations organisation in Estonia - to ensure that new and current products, features and processes scale efficiently and securely.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the Operations Team:
- Provide daily support to the stakeholders involved in the launch, maintenance and improvement of products owned by Assets;
- Maintain consistent and high level execution of recurring responsibilities within the Assets domain;
- Work with Banking, Treasury, product managers and engineers of multiple teams to find solutions and opportunities for process optimisation;
- Coordinate new products/partners set-up, testing and launches from operational side;
- Coordinate central changes - communicate with Payment Operations teams, collaborate with stakeholders in - and outside of the organisation (from Finance to Compliance and beyond);
- Own training, communication and documentation of the Assets Operations domain;
- Act as the first level escalation point on the cases and crisis level within own area, handling incidents in your area of expertise;
- Act as first point of contact for global products in Payments Operations organisation as well as Product teams.
- You're placed in Tallinn, Estonia and have a right to work here (we won't be able to support relocation nor residency permits for this role)
- You have excellent written and verbal English skills
- You are flexible with your working hours to work with teams in different time zones
- You define your priorities according to data and customer needs. Before you start a project you understand what success looks like and track your progress towards this vision
- You enjoy owning your work and leading projects. You focus on accuracy, are independent and pay attention to every detail
- You are humble, self-aware, positive and solution-driven. You admit when things don't go well and share learning with the team

- You’re proactive and a great relationship builder, experienced at working closely with external partners as well as product development teams, including product managers and engineers
- Your intellectual curiosity has no limit and this is your guiding light. You have the self-awareness to understand when you don’t know something and the humility to learn
- You have relevant experience working in operations and led cross functional projects that drive efficiency and scaling of manual work
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
- You have worked in a cross border team - know their challenges and how to overcome these
- You have payments or finance background
- You know how to use different processes improvements methodologies
- You have basic data skills and know where to find the supporting data for your projects
