We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Continuity Planning Manager to lead the design, development, and rigorous testing of our global business continuity plans. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring Wise's ability to maintain essential operations and recover swiftly from disruptive events, safeguarding our customers, employees, and reputation across all our markets.
You will work cross-functionally with various teams, including operations, technology, risk, and compliance, to embed a robust continuity culture and ensure our plans are effective, regularly updated, and compliant with regulatory requirements worldwide.

Strategy & Design: Develop and implement a comprehensive global business continuity and disaster recovery strategy aligned with Wise's strategic objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory obligations.
Plan Development: Design, document, and maintain detailed business continuity plans (BCPs) and disaster recovery plans (DRPs) for critical business functions across all global Wise entities.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments to identify critical business processes, dependencies, and potential vulnerabilities.
Testing & Validation: Lead and coordinate a robust global testing program for BCPs, including tabletop exercises, functional tests, and full-scale simulations. Document results, identify gaps, and drive remediation actions.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels and departments, including senior leadership, product teams, engineering, operations, and regional leads.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of global business continuity regulations (e.g., FCA, MAS, FinCEN) and industry best practices, ensuring Wise's programs meet or exceed compliance requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of the BCP/DR program based on lessons learned from incidents, test results, and evolving business needs.
Reporting: Provide regular reporting on the status, effectiveness, and maturity of the business continuity program to senior management and relevant committees.

Experience
5+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or operational resilience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience designing, implementing, and testing global business continuity programs, preferably within a fast-paced technology or financial services environmen
Skills
Strong understanding of business continuity methodologies, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST)
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, global environment.
Ability to effectively communicate with Product Managers and Engineers and provide practical, actionable, and value added recommendations;
Problem solving attitude, with the ability to use regulations together with data to drive business decisions;
Willing to travel, as Wise offices are located across different countries; and
Legally authorized to work in the the UK
Experience with regulatory expectations for business continuity in key markets (e.g., UK, EU, US, APAC).
