Our Card Dispute and Chargeback team is one of the frontiers of the exciting Wise world, helping our customers recover the cost of their problematic transactions, making sure we stay compliant with the card scheme and the relevant regulations, and pushing our partners to excel with us. Our aim is to constantly improve our disputes and chargeback operations, supporting Wise mission while offering the best possible experience to our customers.
The Card Dispute System Expert is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and utility of data within the Card Disputes domain. Acting as the primary data owner, this role collaborates closely with operational leadership, product teams, and engineering to drive performance, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
What you'll get to do:
- Design, develop, and maintain data reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics and ensure data availability.
- Ensure high standards of data accuracy and consistency, resolve data issues, and document domain knowledge for data quality and governance.
- Contribute to long-term data projects such as cost modeling and forecasting, and automate manual data processes.
- Provide data support for operational needs and address urgent data requests.
- Drive data-related projects and collaborate with internal and external teams to improve processes using data-driven insights.
- Contribute to automation processes
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing complex datasets.
- Experience with data management (e.g., Superset, Looker, Sheets) to build data solutions.
- Ability to take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly.
- Ability to leverage data to support decision-making and process improvements.
It would be nice if you have:
- Experience working within a cross-office team.
- Experience within card issuing, acquiring institutions or merchants (in Wise included).
- Some experience in project management
