About the role:

As a Senior Product Designer at Cuvva, you’ll own & shape the end-to-end design process within your product area, from problem discovery & hypothesis setting, through to prototyping & validation, to delivery, measurement & iteration. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, fellow Designers & Engineers to craft thoughtful, data-informed user experiences that balance customer needs with commercial impact.

You’ll design & prototype high-quality UI solutions, contribute to our design system & use research, analytics & experimentation to continuously improve our products. Your work will directly influence the direction of your product area within the Cuvva platform, ensuring experiences are accessible, inclusive & built to scale.

At Cuvva, we care deeply about building well-crafted experiences. In this role, you’ll bring strong design judgement, a customer-centric mindset & the confidence to challenge thinking where needed, helping your team solve real problems through research, collaboration + iteration.

Partnership is central to how we work. You’ll operate as a true partner to Product Managers & Engineering, fostering a constructive & open environment where design is a shared responsibility & a driver of meaningful outcomes.

In this role, a passion for your craft is essential, alongside the ability to balance creativity with commercial outcomes. You’ll bring a strategic mindset, quickly building context while making informed design challenges that help your team think differently & make better decisions.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll:

Own the full design process

  • Own the full design lifecycle for your product area, from discovery through to delivery & iteration.
  • Frame problems clearly, aligning on user needs, constraints & what success looks like.
  • Explore early solution directions through sketches, wireframes & lightweight prototypes.
  • Validate ideas through research & testing, iterating based on evidence + feedback.
  • Run post-release reviews, analysing user behaviour, qualitative feedback & key metrics to inform what to do next.
  • Plan & deliver iterative improvements based on insight, experimentation & changing user needs.

Excel with a broad remit

  • Work pragmatically, knowing when to move quickly on simple problems and when to go deeper on more complex ones.
  • Design, prototype, and document high-quality UI solutions across mobile and web, maintaining consistency and craft.
  • Partner closely with Engineers throughout delivery to ensure smooth handover and high-quality implementation.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system as the product grows.
  • Use research, experimentation, and analytics to inform decisions, validate outcomes, and iterate.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design across everything you build.

Champion collaboration

  • Actively contribute to the Design community through critiques, feedback sessions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate openly with other Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to raise the quality of work and decision-making.
  • Promote design best practices and continuous learning across teams.

Lean into AI

  • Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, synthesis, prototyping, and content creation where they meaningfully improve quality and speed.
  • Leverage tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI-assisted prototyping tools (e.g. bolt.new, v0) to explore, validate, and communicate ideas.
  • Stay curious and experiment thoughtfully with emerging AI design tools to improve your workflow.

You’ll do great here if you have:

  • Proven experience owning end-to-end Product Design, within a product-led environment.
  • Strong experience using AI tools, with enthusiasm for integrating AI into design workflows for research, prototyping & creative exploration.
  • A collaborative mindset, working closely with fellow Designers, Product Managers & Engineers, recognising that great design is as much about communication + teamwork as it is about craft.
  • Experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS & Android), with a great understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines &Material Design.
  • High proficiency in Figma, including Design Systems, prototyping & developer handoff.
  • A solid grasp of UX research methodologies, with the ability to synthesise qualitative data into actionable insights.
  • A great mindset of continuous learning, keeping up with the latest trends in UX, UI & interaction design.

It’s a bonus if you:

  • Have worked in a startup, scaleup or design agency/product studio environment, where high-impact & quality work is measured in days/weeks, rather than months/years.
  • Have a working understanding of front-end development (e.g., understanding how your designs translate into code).
  • Are familiar with behavioural design & gamification principles to drive engagement.
  • Have experience with motion design or micro-interactions to create delightful user experiences.
