The Role

We are looking for an experienced data professional to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will help to drive the delivery of rich customer insights across the platform, analysing customer data, defining performance metrics, designing rich data models and delivering actionable insight through embedded dashboards, self-service analytics and data integration solutions.

You will have a breadth of skills and experience across analytics and engineering. You will be an analyst first and foremost. You enjoy working with customers and delivering commercial value. You’ll also have the engineering experience to build and maintain ETL pipelines with support from the main engineering team. And you will help to evolve the data capabilities and culture of the broader organisation, improving data driven decision making and strengthening governance.

You will be a self-starter who enjoys working both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a fast-paced cross functional team, you will be comfortable balancing attention to detail with pragmatism, managing different priorities and delivering large projects incrementally within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Understanding customer needs - Work closely with customers, commercial and product teams to develop a deep understanding of customers' data needs.

• Exploratory data analysis - Gather and analyse data from different sources to identify patterns, trends, anomalies that can be refined into customer value.

• Defined outcomes and metrics - Establish clear outcomes and performance metrics with associated data sources, modelling approach and constraints.

• Domain modelling - Design thoughtful domain data models that are optimised to best service agreed customer needs, use cases and outcomes.

• ETL Pipelines - Create and maintain robust ETL pipelines that deliver reliable, high quality insight.

• Analytics dashboards - Conceptualise and build self-service analysis dashboards to deliver actionable insight in a delightful and intuitive way.

• Data quality - Design and implement data quality standards and processes to improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.

• KPIs - Communicate results to drive impact: share insights and results in a commercial and compelling manner, including ability to visualise results.

• Data capability and culture - Work with teams across the wider business to improve data understanding, availability, usage and governance.

About You

• A minimum of 3 years in relevant data roles, preferably in B2B SaaS, startups, scaleups or FinTech, working on various aspects of data analysis, engineering, modelling and visualisation.

• Experience with modern data platforms including Microsoft Azure.

• Experience working directly with clients and commercial teams.

• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.

• Low ego, willing to roll up your sleeves and, as a team, get the job done

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Numerate degree and/or background preferred

• Hybrid working model (2-3 days in the office - WeWork, Moorgate)
